Good Man - Male Mentoring
Good Man Programme
What is it?
Good Man is a fully funded five-week mentoring programme for boys and young men aged 10-18 who may be at risk of entering or currently experiencing abusive relationships. Delivered through group sessions or one-to-one support, the programme focuses on key topics such as:
- Making relationships work
- Relationships in a digital world
- Building confidence
- Manners and respect
- Understanding consequences
- Healthy relationships
The project educates young people about the value of respect and the characteristics of healthy and unhealthy relationships. Participants develop skills to maintain healthy relationships, end unhealthy relationships appropriately, and communicate effectively.
Who is Eligible?
The programme is open to young males who:
- Are aged 10-18 years
- Live in Greater Essex
- Are willing to take part in group or one-to-one sessions (face-to-face or online)
- Display signs of unhealthy relationships or coercive behaviours (e.g., lack of empathy, dishonesty, manipulative or dismissive attitudes)
