Youth Employment UK - Your Voice Survey
The largest Youth Voice survey is open and we are ready to hear your views and experiences of being a young person in the UK.

Creative Sport & Leisure
The Future Skills Programme is for anyone aged 16-18, or up to 25 if you have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) in Colchester, Harlow, Tendring or Basildon, and will last the duration of 6 months, on the programme you will learn all the essential skills to start your dream career in Sport and Physical Activity.

The programme will offer classroom-based learning alongside work experience with businesses in the local area. Learners will be timetabled between 9am-5pm for 22.5 hours a week (e.g. 3 days a week, 7.5 hours each day).  The qualifications that can be gained throughout this programme are detailed below:

  • Level 1 Award in Active, Healthy Living Qualification
  • English and Maths Functional Skills
  • Employability Skills
  • You will also have the opportunity to complete work experience at an employer of your choice.

First Intuition - Accountancy Summer School
This FREE event is open to anyone from year 11-13 with an interest in this industry. If you’re considering a career in finance or accountancy or are just curious about whether this industry is a good fit for you, then these online and 1:1 days will help you to make up your mind. You’ll find out more about routes into this industry, what accountants do, meet employers, and get CV and interview tips.

Wilderness Foundation
Young people ages 15–21 who struggle with their mental health, family, social, and personal problems find a new way of living through the Wilderness Foundation’s flagship project “The TurnAround Project”. 

TurnAround is a structured nine month long self-development and employability project for young people aged from 15 to 21 years old. The aim is to enable each young people to make positive change to their lives using nature as a catalyst. They support each young person with their own individual needs which is what makes the project a success.

NCS - Experiences Away from Home
NCS helps 15-17 year olds build skills for work and life, gaining confidence and independence along the way. It's an experience of a lifetime with new challenges and new people. 


Become a Young Mental Health Ambassador!
Your experiences are key to shaping the future of mental health and wellbeing services in Essex. Young people's metal health is hugely important and you can help to change local service for the better. If you are a child or young person up to the age of 23 ( or 25 with SEND), you can be involved in many different ways. 

  • Create videos, online blogs and response to their digital tasks
  • Share you experiences, views and opinions to help Commissioners improve and develop local mental health services
  • Attend Young Mental Health Ambassador meet ups and build you network

Frontline is a community project. It helps frontline workers and the public to quickly find details on local health and wellbeing services and to contact services through call back and referral options.

The Autism Central Peer Education Programme offers families and carers of autistic people high-quality and easily accessible autism education, training, and support. Essex Wellbeing Services
