Momentum Training - Falltricks Hairdressing Academy
Are offering a 9 month study programme in either Hairdressing or Barbering with the aim to convert into an apprenticeship around 12 weeks.

  • Level 1 in Hairdressing or Barbering
  • Opportunity to improve Maths and English if needed
  • Work placement up to 3 days a week
  • Training in the Romford Academy or salons in Chelmsford, Rayleigh, Brentwood, Billericay and Wickford
  • Funding available to help cover travel costs and lunch
  • Hairdressing or Barbering kit provided after 6 weeks

  • Enterprise - Got a business in mind or want to explore an idea? From training and mentoring support to funding and resources, we're here to help you become the best entrepreneur you can be
  • Get Started in the NHS - Are you aged 16-30? Looking for a job in Health Care? Mid and South Essex Health & Care Academy are collaborating with the Prince's Trust to provide a supported route into employment for young people aged between 16 and 30 who live in the Mid and South Essex area. Young people participating in the programme will receive personalised support relating to their healthcare career aspirations and can receive advice on the application process, interview tips and techniques and the opportunities available in healthcare in Mid and South Essex.

Nova Training
Nova Training have now re opened their study centre in Colchester and are open to referrals again.  They offer English and Maths up to Level 1, 2 or GCSE if needed, as well as Functional ICT.  Their programmes offers 16-18-year olds the opportunity to gain work experience, apprenticeship opportunities and support into employment. If you are not in employment, education or training and would like to be referred please let us know.

Build Skill - Colchester
Applications available for Construction and Well-being course with a start date planned for the end of November.

Wilderness Foundation

Brave Futures, a nature-based group therapy programme funded by Braintree Council and Eastlight Community Fund, has been set up to support residents in Braintree District who have experienced grief, trauma, addictions, social isolation, anxiety and depression which has affected their mental health and wellbeing. With our team of expert outdoor group therapists, we have a style of working that offers therapy, tools and strategies for managing trauma, grief, relationships, boundaries, self-care, communication and emotional control, mixed with a range of activities. Activities are varied and include bushcraft, camp cooking, walking, foraging, nature art and craft work for one day a week for 8 weeks.

Out There Wilderness Academy - In small groups students engage in hands-on activities that challenge their minds, develop their social skills, and feed their emotional needs. The programme designed for 13-15 years old to come to our site (Chatham Green, CM3 3FE) for 1 day a week for 6 weeks.
Next 2024 programme starts: 6 June, 19 September, 7 November 2024

First Intuition - Accountancy Summer School - Chelmsford
FI Chelmsford Accountancy Academy will return to our centre in 2024. This FREE event is open to anyone from year 11-13 with an interest in this industry. If you’re considering a career in finance or accountancy or are just curious about whether this industry is a good fit for you, then these two days will help you to make up your mind. You’ll find out more about routes into this industry, what accountants do, meet employers, and get CV and interview tips.
